About Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2013 Brut Champagne
Nicolas Perrier and Rose-Adélaïde Jouët founded Perrier-Jouët in 1811. Today, the House owns 65 hectares of vineyards, most of these Grand Cru. Belle Epoque Brut Champagne is inspired by the House’s first prestige bottling that in turn took its cues from the historic Blason de France. The bottle is adorned with a floral pattern that was created for Perrier-Jouët by Art Nouveau master Emile Gallé more than a century ago. The 2013 vintage was crafted under the watchful eye of Cellar Master Séverine Frerson with 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, and 5% Meunier. 2013 was particularly good for Chardonnay, the House’s signature grape. Delicate, harmonious, and elegant, this Champagne is the perfect embodiment of the floral style of the House. It pairs well with king prawns with creamy polenta, sole meunière, Parmesan, or Comté cheese.

About Champagne
Champagne has been associated with royalties since the 17th century, still maintaining its glorious reputation.
The French take Champagne seriously, so coming from the Champagne region of France isn’t the only requirement that keeps this drink from being “just sparkling wine.” The rules of the appellation require specific vineyard practices, particular types of grapes, specific pressing methods, and secondary fermentation of wine.
